what astrology says about someone’s money…

In astrology, the second and eight houses are generally associated with money and resources.  The second house has more to do with self-sufficiency so it usually represents the money one earns through one’s own efforts, or things one accumulates, collects, owns etc.; while the eighth house which is associated with other people’s money can indicate inheritances and money earned through other people.

There are many sources from which money can come, for a lot of people, money comes from their work; so looking at someone’s money blueprint will involve understanding their career and work prospects; therefore I”ll also look to someone’s sixth and tenth house when it comes to understanding someone’s money blueprint.    Sixth house is the house of work and routines while the tenth house is the house of professional development and identity.  Someone with a lot of planets in the tenth house is likely to thrive spending their energies in developing their career, and as a result, wealth accumulation will come from achieving professional goals.

Something else I also spend time reading into is a person’s Mercury placement.  Mercury is our mental capacity, what interests us mentally, the way we learn etc., which says alot about the line of work that we may become dedicated to on a long-term basis.  People always say follow your passion and the money will follow.  This may or may not be true but most likely money will follow if you follow what you’re naturally inclined towards, may not necessarily feel like a passion but it’s likely to be a gift or skill that develops as you put effort and time towards it; Mercury is helpful in deciphering that.  Hence the value of getting a child’s chart read for parents. Mercury in a watery sign Pisces is likely to be inclined towards something spiritual and creative.  The Mercury Pisces child probably loves to daydream and has great imagination while someone with Mercury in Taurus will be quite practical minded and that propensity can be applied well in business or something involving the management of finances.

Besides the day-to-day grind type of work, another way to create wealth is through investments and looking to one’s Mercury’s sign and aspects can also help you see how you approach investments and hence the type of investments that may be more suitable. For example, I personally have Mercury in deep watery Scorpio, Mercury Scorpio likes to go deep into subjects and guess what, I love digging deep into individual stocks and companies and tend to get a good gut feeling about them because Scorpio is also a very intuitive sign; so that’s the way I like to go about investing is that I always do my research well and thorough; vs. someone who may say have Mercury in big-picture Sagittarius who may be better at discerning big picture, macro-economic ideas and factors, or understanding international politics as the sign of Sagittarius has to do with foreign culture/countries. I would recommend that person to take directional plays from their “read” of the big picture situations such as investing in country-specific ETFs or certain precious metals that benefit from the increase or decrease in geopolitical tensions. And if you have Mercury in creative artistic Pisces or Mercury in aspect to creative Neptune, how about investing in things like art or wine. The list goes on but you get what I’m trying to say.
